LON's at the hermosa

Our Cuisine

Once the home and studio of famed Arizona cowboy artist Lon Megargee, LON's at the hermosa restaurant in Phoenix now provides a frame for the very special edible art of Chef Michael Rusconi.

In a warm, earthy, yet sophisticated environment that melds adobe and rustic ironwork with flattering lighting and carefully set tables, Rusconi practices his finely honed culinary style at our award winning Phoenix restaurant.

His bold flavors and compelling combinations reflect a contemporary take on the multitude of foods originating in the Western Hemisphere.

With a nod to both past and present, Rusconi salutes the robust era of Lon Megargee while still honoring classic culinary techniques.

Rusconi's Artful American Cuisine captures the spirit, creativity and warmth that have evolved into today's Hermosa Inn in Phoenix.

Rusconi grows a wide selection of herbs and heirloom fruits, vegetables and grains on the Inn grounds. Harvested at the peak of their flavor and combined with other locally grown produce, the ingredients are incorporated into dishes that are brilliantly creative, yet direct and approachable.

Rusconi actively seeks out ingredients that are humanely raised and from ecologically sound sources.

Menus are designed for maximum culinary impact with dishes that range from the pecan roasted pork tenderloin to the cinnamon and maple lacquered breast of duck..

Each month chef Rusconi creates a multi-course prix fixe menu that celebrates seasonality in our Phoenix restaurant. It can be enjoyed nightly with the option of appropriately chosen wines Sunday through Thursday.
